Winery Viña las Colonias de Galeón, SL, took up a challenging Project in 1998, in Cazalla de la Sierra, northern mountain range Sevilla, southern Spain. Elena Viguera y Julián Navarro aim to recover the winemaking tradition that started in the XVI century, when the most important cultural, social and economic supports for that area were their well reputed wines. In 2004, the Spanish Ministery of Agriculture introduced the "Wines of the North mountain of Sevilla" quality certification, which acknowledges climate, altitude and soil of our area as excellent factors to elaborate red and white high quality wines. We own organically farmed vineyards which also carry the "Natural Park of Andalucía" logo, a protected geographical indication which controls and guaranties the wines quality.
